Growing the Youth Group    (08/24/06)
Well, this is really cool, but we have had a ton of visitors lately at COW.  This is exciting for me to see, because it means that you all are inviting your friends and classmates to church.  Why is this cool?  Cause it means that you are getting the idea that in everything you do, and everywhere you go, you need to be talking about Jesus Christ, and inviting people to church.  Today, Shallon and I went to Panera Bread, and I was wearing my Sold Out shirt, and a lady stopped me to ask me about it.  I got to tell her about our youth group, and she was saved and had actually been to our church before.  I didn't even have to do anything.  It really is that easy!  It just means living your life in a way that is noticably different.  Several of you have told me about people you have witnessed to and invited to church.  Some of them have come, some of them have gotten saved, and some haven't.  Not everyone will get saved, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't talk to them and invite them to church.  We need to be intentional in our Christianity.  We need to be intentional in our witnessing.  Jesus told us that we are to be His witnesses.  That is a command, not an option.
Many of you said that you wanted to change your school for Jesus.  Do it!  Do what Jesus wants you to do.  Keep on inviting your friends.  Keep on witnessing.  Keep on inviting them to church.  We can see our youth group grow til the point that we can't even fit them in the Wherehouse!  God wants to bring people to Himself, and He wants to use us.  That is such a privilege!  Let's all live up to it.  Last night, we had 4 people make decisions to trust Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord!!!  That is SO sweet!  I don't care if you aren't sure what to say to them to share the Gospel with them.  Just get them to church.  We'll share the Gospel with them.  We'll see God do amazing things in their lives, if we are willing to be used!  Let's all do it!!!!
